Hikule'o The Navigator God

The Patron God of Tongan sailors and navigators. It was common for Tongans to take it with them when they went sailing especially when they travel to more far away islands like Samoa, Fiji or Uvea. Originally a carving that belong to the Tu'itonga (sacred king), it has no palm which indicate the sacredness of the Tu'itonga and that he did not eat with his hand instead he was fed by attendants.
